4:45 AM and I am stymied. I know we just went off daylight savings, but Franny is waking up about an hour earlier than usual, despite the time change. I hope she'll adjust soon. She has to eventually. We've already started pushing back her bedtime. The girl needs her sleep.
I take her to the potty, give her some milk and scoot her back in to bed until at least 5:30, but nobody goes back to sleep. Back in my room over the monitor, I can hear Franny recreating yesterday's circle time from preschool. It's like I'm actually there (and just where I want to be at 5:00 am):
"Shape monster, shape monster, munch munch munch, how about a blue square for your lunch? Who has the blue square? Say, 'I do.' 'I do.' Yeah PETER!!!!
Shape monster, shape monster, munch munch, munch, how about a red heart..."
I usually have to go in their room at least once to pull Franny out of Sophie's crib, where she is not welcome apparently. Sophie's screams are my cue when it's time to go remove her unwelcome visitor.
As I write this, Franny has just informed me that she has once again pooped in her underwear. So this tired Mommy is signing off for now, and looking forward to a one hour nap later today.
