For a while now I've been unofficially petitioning for "townie" status. We've lived here four years now so I think we should be considered. We own a home here now. I bought my first lawn ornament up this fall- a cute little wooden owl. I shop at Aldi's- the weird grocery store in town with fabulous prices and great finds. But this next one I think makes me a shoe-in as a townie.
I appeared for free in a local commercial. With my daughter. Check it out:
Our commercial was pretty good, but this one is a gem:
First of all... that is awesome that you were in a commercial and you look so cute :)
ReplyDelete2nd... that other commercial is even more awesome!!!! I love how he is like "It has stains... we cover those up."
great acting.
ReplyDeleteyou are officially a townie.
and what was with the kid in the ending? He didn't say what she did. Whip-sha!
Congratulations on Townie status:) You look great:) I think Raquel was in the same kind of commercial right before they moved and she had been there for 4 years:)
ReplyDeleteMaybe yours would have been better had you had that whip sound effect as the money was counted out, or more fast, close-ups, or more slow Armageddon-movie style walking :) Anything can be made more dramatic by walking in slow-motion. Maybe you'll start getting recognized at Aldie's now.
ReplyDeleteLove it and yes I think you are a townie now.
ReplyDeleteYou are a natural! Congrats on the townie status!
ReplyDeleteyou're totally a townie!
ReplyDeletei love how you say "first commercial" like there will be more. :)
was there supposed to be sound? i didn't hear anything.
great acting debut!
I couldn't get the sound to work. Weirdest thing. Oh well. Thanks for granting me townie status guys. You're the best!
ReplyDeleteI've seen that commercial a ton but never noticed it was you in it! How fun!! You always know how to get in on the cool stuff around here!! Must be the townie status working in your favor.. :)
ReplyDeleteAWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou look fabu, are you loving your semi-celebrity status in the vile?
Finally! I've been waiting weeks for this! I couldn't get the sound to work, but I didn't need it. You're a natural :)
ReplyDeleteOH MAN I LOVED IT! BOTH!!! HAHAHAHAHA!
ReplyDeleteIt may not make you a townie, but it certainly makes you a local celebrity.
ReplyDeletePS. You're hot.
Absolutely brilliant. But if being in a local commercial is what brings on townie status, then I should have been considered a townie as well! I think your four years of residence there is what gets you in, though. Welcome to the Townie Club. Or at least the "I Starred In A Local Commercial" Club. Woohoo!
ReplyDeleteThanks for that other one. I loved it and will be forwarding it.
Erick was just telling me the other day that he was almost 100% sure you were on a commercial... everytime it comes on he says "come here, I think this is katherine." I just sent him the link to your blog to show him he was right!
ReplyDeleteYour famous!
ReplyDeleteI can't get your commercial to play for me. :( The second commercial is a true 'gem.'
ReplyDeleteYahoo! It's official! You look like a pro in that commercial. Producers will come pounding on your door any day to get you to enter the world of movie making! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool! How'd you get to do something like that?
ReplyDeleteI've seen the second commercial before - Roy showed it to me just a couple of weeks ago - so funny!
Have you seen any of the other ones like that? I like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XLshEBvYdw&feature=channel
Hey Katherine - it's Ashley's little sis. I realize I'm commenting roughly a month late (the dangers of the occasional blog lurker...) but this post was too awesome to pass up a comment oppoertunity. Maybe I don't understand the commercial without the sound - but did you play both the customer AND an employee? That's townie status for sure.
ReplyDeleteHope you're doing well! You are gorgeous and your girls are adorable as always.
