She's got me wanting to try my hand at sourdough bread.

He's got me wanting to try making homemade spinach and beet pasta. (It's so pretty. But I need a pasta maker.)

And "feast"your eyes on this!
Peanut Butter and Snickers Fudge Sauce for Ice Cream
I think the title says it all. Don't you?
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 jar smooth peanut butter (approx 1/3 cup)
3 Tbs dark brown sugar
1 king-size Snickers bar (approx. 3 oz.) broken into pieces
1 Tbs dark corn syrup
Place all of the ingredients in a saucepan and heat gently. When everything has melted, raise to a simmer, stirring and scraping the pan for about 3 minutes.

Also picked this up on CD. Will I like it as much as Kite Runner?

That's funny. I had that very Bread Bible book checked out last year for at least a month. I think you will get better use out of it than I did. I had good intentions, but I'll admit something here.. our bread maker broke lately and yesterday was the first day that I have made whole wheat bread in loaf pans... ever. I used your recipe and it turned out great.
I never comment but always want to, so I did. You should write your own cook book, I would buy it. A Thousand Splendid Suns is far better than The Kite Runner(my opinion, for what it's worth). I can't wait to hear what you think of it. Your blog is so fun and I hope you don't mind me dropping in, plus I have to steal a few recipes from time to time!
A thousand Splendid Suns will not disappoint you. At least I loved it. I won't be sad if you need someone to test all the yummy concoctions you discover out of these other library finds!
I don't know what I'd do Katherine without your blog at nighttime--especially with Cameron gone so much. I am so entertained by all of your ideas. I love it. Miss you .
I loved A Thousand Splendid Suns as much if not more than Kite Runner. I must admit I am partial to books with a female main character rather than a male - not sure why - maybe because I'm a female! Also - they have made Kite Runner into a movie - have you seen it yet? Enjoy reading. I just finished "Love Walked In" - it was a good read too.
For the past few years I have been eating bread made from the recipes from the bread bible. Adam LOVES that book. Enjoy!
Come on over, I have a pasta maker!! I love that you check out cookbooks at the library, I do it to. They always look so lonely don't they? And let me know how the sour dough goes, thats something I've been thinking about trying recently (today actually).
Katherine: We need to get together for the home made pasta. Rhett got one for Christmas and has been going hog wild. So far he's made normal, wheat and tomato.
